Things to Do in Simpson Bay
Simpson Bay is the lively heart of the Dutch side — a strip of waterfront restaurants, marinas and nightlife, and the launch point for most of the island's boat trips. Here's how to make the most of it.
Why Simpson Bay
Simpson Bay sits between the airport and Maho, with a long lagoon on one side and the sea on the other. It's where you'll find marinas, dive shops and a packed line of restaurants and bars — and it's the base for Aqua Mania Adventures, the operator that runs our water adventures.
Top things to do
- Boat trips & water adventures — Most sails — the Anguilla day trip, snorkel sails and sunset cruises — depart from here.
- Waterfront dining — Simpson Bay has one of the densest stretches of restaurants and bars on the island.
- Nightlife — After dark, the strip is the Dutch side's go-to for live music and casinos.
Getting around
Simpson Bay is central and easy to reach, but a rental car makes it simple to combine with Maho, Philipsburg and the French side. Many visitors base themselves nearby for the easy access to boats and dining.
